Lyndon Moore graded to Shodan - 1st degree Black Belt

Updated: Jul 17

After completing his 5 hour grading on June 19th Lyndon was officially awarded his Shodan certificate at the Academy of Self Defence at the prizegiving night at Papatoetoe dojo on the 6th July.

We've had 150 members come through our doors at Heian Do Bujutsu over the past 12 years since we opened. Many stay for a few months, some stay for many years. Lyndon joined after his kids started with us back in 2014 and stuck with the training and even spent many hours on the mat at the affiliated Ai Shin Do Papatoetoe dojo.

“Very proud to introduce our first student to grade all the way from white belt to black belt” - Sensei Mark Grogan.

Lyndon has been a steady student for the past 6.5 years gaining knowledge and honing his techniques and understanding of the arts. In June of 2020 he was awarded his Senpai certificate for his hours of assisted teaching and in August of 2021 he was awarded his full Teachers Certificate of Sensei.
